Meet the Team

Ashleigh Tregoning

Ashleigh is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of Sydney.

Ashleigh is a friendly, fun and caring person, with a passion to help children access the therapy they require in order to learn, grow and develop skills and occupations that are integral to being a child. She believes that therapy should be holistic and individualised to each child to ensure that it is meaningful, fun, beneficial yet challenging and achievable. Ashleigh strives to work with each child’s family, as she believes that they are key toward the child’s therapy and achievement of goals. She has a particular interest in working with children with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder and Developmental Delays.

Ashleigh’s love for paediatric therapy grew whilst volunteering in a rural and remote school in Western Australia. During this experience, she had the opportunity to witness the importance of Occupational Therapy in assisting children to engage in meaningful occupations such as play, making friends and handwriting. Ashleigh has also had experience working with children at school, both as an Occupational Therapy student and an Educator. She has worked with children with different diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD and Developmental Delays. 

Ashleigh always strives to further her knowledge and skills to ensure she implements the most recent evidence-based practices within her therapies, through participating in learning opportunities, completing research and liaising with other health professionals.

Ashleigh has completed further training in:

• Sensory processing: The Traffic Jam in My Brain – Gen Jereb
• Basic Course on DIR/Floortime Model (ICDL)

In her spare time, Ashleigh enjoys going for bushwalks, camping, going to the beach and doing pottery. She values spending quality time with loved ones and enjoys spoiling them with baked goods!

Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science University of Technology Sydney

Masters of Occupational Therapy, University of Sydney.
