Meet the Team

David Farag

David has been a practicing Psychologist for many years, with experience working in both the corporate and private sector, working also with both children and adults. Currently, David is the primary psychologist and one of the Shareholders of Head 2 Toe Kids and Family Health. He is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), having graduated from Western Sydney University. He is also a registered Medicare provider.

David has significant experience in the provision of services and support to a diverse and CALD client cohort across different socio-economic backgrounds. Whilst working in the private sector, David has gained experience working with toddlers, children, adolescents and adults with a range of educational and developmental issues, including Learning Difficulties, Attention Deficit Disorder, Spectrum Disorders and other developmental and behavioural problems.

David has extensive experience with the use of evidence-based practices across multiple therapeutic modalities, specifically:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Narrative therapy
• Play Therapy
• Schema Therapy
• Brief Solution focused therapy

David also has significant experience with the use of standardised assessments in order to support clinical interpretation and intervention planning. Specifically, the use of the:

• Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R); Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale, Second Edition (ADOS-II)
• Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
• Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition (WIAT-III)
• Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System, Third Edition (ABAS-III)
• The Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, Third Edition (Bayley-III)

David has completed further training in:

• Child, adolescent and Adult Attachment theories
• Social thinkers and social skills for children
• Bayley Scale of infant and toddler development assessment training.

David is passionate about providing support to children and their families, to facilitate their growth and development toward the best version of themselves that they can be.
