Meet the Team

Sonam Gupta

Sonam is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from University of Sydney in 2011. She completed the degree; Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from University of Sydney. Since graduation she has held different positions in the areas of oak rehabilitation and paediatrics.

In the paediatrics field, Sonam has worked in a private practice specifically working with children with different conditions in providing therapy to them in a clinical setting, school setting and group therapy setting. Sonam has worked with children with different conditions such as Autism, developmental delay, down syndrome, ADHD and ADD as such.

Sonam understands the needs of children and their families and is keen to help children reach their full potential.

Sonam believes in a play-based approach and uses this as a tool for rapport building and engagement for children moving forward. Sonam has a passion for working with children. She has experience with conducting individual therapy sessions, group sessions targeting handwriting for children, school visits and has also performed home visits.

Sonam has also completed a training course of Listening with the whole body presented by Sheila Frick and Colleenn Hacker and Sensory Defensiveness presented by Patricia Wilbarger and Tracy Stackhouse in August 2011. In addition, recently completed the course, Structured Literacy by Rosemary Ruthven. Sonam believes in current practice and is always keen on updating her knowledge and learning new practices and strategies.

In her spare time she enjoys dancing, stage acting, spending time with her family and friends and reading.
